Accounting Transfer Pathway

The Accounting Transfer Pathway offers seamless credit transfer into designated bachelor's degree programs at any of the Minnesota State system's seven universities: Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University Mankato, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Southwest Minnesota State University, St. Cloud State University and Winona State University. 

With core foundational coursework and skill-building in the crucial concepts, tools and applications of finance and investment, the Accounting Transfer Pathway will ready you for a smooth and successful transition as you continue on to pursue an advanced degree in accounting. When you complete the 60-credit associate degree program, you are guaranteed junior-year status within your designated bachelor’s degree program; your 60 credits earned at M State will directly transfer. 

You'll learn:

• To properly analyze, interpret and prepare financial statements
• Information system theory, software and hardware
• The underlying concepts of sound management, including planning, organization, leading and controlling
• The four Ps of marketing: product, pricing, place and promotion
• The American legal system and how it relates to the world of business

Earn College Credits in High School

High school students interested in pursuing a degree in accounting may be able to save time and money on their college experience by completing college credit-bearing coursework while still in high school, at no cost to them. M State collaborates with many high schools in the West Central Minnesota region to offer college-level academic programming. Course offerings vary by school and program.
